"A CLOSE ENCOUNTER!" - 9 Mar 1987, Age 9

Evidently inspired by Spielberg's interplanetary movies that I loved so dearly at the time...

A CLOSE ENCOUNTER!

   As we heard the strange droning whirring sound, we saw the trees swaying violently. A UFO was landing on Mt Gravatt!
   Soon, something came out. It was a metre tall, had short thin legs, and was browny-red, had long thin arms and a turtle face.
   It was not mean at all. Soon it climbed in the window and I gave it some food and it picked it with its long thin fingers and ate it like a pig.
   I was so happy because it was going to be my pet and I fed it seven times a day.
